This program introduces children to the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest Vasarely Museum’s permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and objects. The children will have an opportunity to find, look at and talk about works of art related to the topic of the visit. Each session is unique, with the museum educator engaging the children in 3-4 activities. Hands-on materials including pre-cut sets of shapes and manipulatives allow children to explore concepts that Vasarely used in his pieces. Ninety minute sessions provide time for children to create their own art related to the topic and then take it home.
All class visits to the Vasarely Museum Budapest include aspects of math and art. Some sessions include topics connected to music and social studies. A variety of art activities for students of all ages are offered.
