It is prohibited to touch works of art. Food and drink are not permitted in the galleries.

The use of cell phones is not allowed in the galleries.

The use of the cloakroom is obligatory and free of charge. All bags, handbags exceeding 30x40 cm, umbrellas and coats not being worn must be left in the cloakroom.

Please don’t leave your tickets and discount IDs in the cloakroom, as they will be checked at the entrance of the galleries.

It is prohibited to carry pets, plants, food, drink, sharp objects and toys into the galleries. Pets cannot be left in the cloakroom either.

Photography and video recording in the permanent collection requires a photo or video ticket, which is available at the cashier. Visitors with a photo permit may take pictures of works in the collection for personal, non-commercial use, with a hand-held camera. Flash and tripod are not permitted. Photography in the temporary exhibition, including the use of video cameras and mobile phones with camera, is strictly prohibited.

Smoking is prohibited in the museum. The designated smoking area is the museum’s portico by the entrance.

Small children may visit the galleries in pushchairs or in front baby carriers. For safety reasons we do not suggest other solutions.

Only the Museum's trained guides may offer tours in the Museum of Fine Arts.

Visitors are kindly asked to leave all galleries 10 minutes before closing time, in order to allow time for collecting valuables from the cloakroom.

OTHER INFORMATION

A disabled access lift is available on the right of the main entrance staircase.

Two lifts are presently operating in the museum, with which visitors can reach galleries on the 1st and 2nd floors. Please ask for the assistance of museum staff. Disabled visitors wishing to use the disabled restroom on the lower level are kindly asked to contact our colleagues at the Information Desk, as the elevator is temporarily out of order. Thank you for your understanding.

A card-operated public telephone is available on the lower level.

The post-box on the ground floor at the entrance of the museum shop is emptied every day by the Hungarian Post.
