Seuso-treasure Repatriated

Hungary has acquired and repatriated seven pieces of the unique, priceless, ancient Roman silver treasure known as the Seuso-treasure

CHANGE IN THE OPENING HOURS ON THE 27TH AND 29TH OF MARCH

26 March 2014.

We kindly inform our visitors about the following changes: - on Thursday, 27th of March due to technical reason the Museum will be open only between 10 am - 5 pm. The entry will be allowed until 4.00 pm. The closing of the permanent exhibitions will go on from 4.30 pm, while the temporary exhibition Raphael will close at 4.50 pm; - on Saturday, 29th of March due to the event planned on the Heroes' square the Museum will be open only between 10 am - 1 pm. The entry will be allowed until 12.00 pm. The closing of the permanent exhibitions will go on from 12.30 pm, while the temporary exhibition Raphael will close at 12.50 pm. Extended opening hours at the exhibition Caravaggio to Canaletto at weekends

The exhibition Caravaggio to Canaletto is operating with extended opening hours at weekends from 31 of January until the end of the exhibition. The new opening hours are as follows: 31 January - 2 February (Fri-Sat-Sun): 9 am - 7 pm; 7-9 February (Fri-Sat-Sun): 9 am - 7 pm; 14-15 February (Fri-Sat): 9 am - 8 pm; 16 February (Sun): 9 am - 10 pm. The exhibition area closes 10 minutes prior to the museum. The Ticket Desk closes one and half hours before the exhibition. The latest admission is one and half hours before the exhibition closure time.
