This program introduces children to the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest permanent collection of paintings and graphic works. The museum educator will bring class sets of reproductions so that each child can look at works of art as well as talk about what they see. Each session is unique, with the museum educator engaging the children in 3-4 activities. Some works of art are presented as part of a story, in the form of a puzzle or matching/grouping task, drama games, or listening to music.
This program introduces children to the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest Vasarely Museum’s permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and objects. The children will have an opportunity to find, look at and talk about works of art related to the topic of the visit. Each session is unique, with the museum educator engaging the children in 3-4 activities. Hands-on materials including pre-cut sets of shapes and manipulatives allow children to explore concepts that Vasarely used in his pieces. Ninety minute sessions provide time for children to create their own art related to the topic and then take it home.
The visit consists of two parts. First the students explore works of art connected with the topic in the gallery. This is followed by a creative art session in the studio. We offer class visits in a variety of topics.
