Eyes on Art – A Visit to the Vasarely Museum

This program introduces children to the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest Vasarely Museum’s permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and objects. The children will have an opportunity to find, look at and talk about works of art related to the topic of the visit. Each session is unique, with the museum educator engaging the children in 3-4 activities. Hands-on materials including pre-cut sets of shapes and manipulatives allow children to explore concepts that Vasarely used in his pieces. Ninety minute sessions provide time for children to create their own art related to the topic and then take it home.

Eyes on Art – Bringing Vasarely to Kindergartens

This program introduces children to the permanent collection of paintings, sculptures and objects in the Vasarely Museum Budapest. The museum educator will bring class sets of reproductions so that each child can look at works of art as well as talk about what they see. Each session is unique, with the museum educator engaging the children in 3-4 activities. Hands-on materials including pre-cut sets of shapes allow children to explore concepts that Vasarely used in his pieces. Ninety-minute sessions provide time for children to create their own art related to the topic and then take it home.

Museum Visits for Schools

All class visits to the Vasarely Museum Budapest include aspects of math and art. Some sessions include topics connected to music and social studies. A variety of art activities for students of all ages are offered.
