Audio guide

Audio tours are currently available for the permanent exhibition of the Old Masters' Gallery and the Modern Collection in English, German, Russian and Italian. The guides are compiled and edited by art historians and professional writers.

The audio sets can be rented for HUF 500. The audio guide tickets are available at the ticket desk, and the sets can be picked up at the Information Desk, where they are to be returned at the end of your visit.

Audio guies for temporary exhibitions are sometimes available in English. Please inquire at the Information Desk.

How to use the audio guide:

  • The tour and the language will be set for you at the pick-up counter.
  • The highlighted works in the permanent collection (over 80 works) are indicated on the captions next to the pictures by the following pictograph:

The audio guide starts automatically when you key in the number that can be found next to the pictograph.

  • There is no specified route visitors must follow in the exhibition. You can choose in what order you wish to see the works.
  • You can move about freely while listening to the commentaries; you do not have to stand directly by the works.
